Last year, the first Tintin sale and the second edition of Christie’s Paris Bandes Dessinées and Illustrations sale, held in partnership with the Daniel Maghen Gallery, achieved a total of €5,897,700 attracting collectors from over 15 different countries. Highlights included a world auction record for the artist Edgar P. Jacobs with his Blake and Mortimer comic strip La Marque Jaune which sold for €205,500, two times its presale estimate.
