Lot Essay

In the 2000 Royal Academy catalogue which accompanied the exhibition Terry Frost: Six Decades, Mel Gooding writes of Frost's spirals [that they] 'create the simple music of an inspired song celebrating the energy that informs all things natural: "Spirals are forever".' (see Exhibition catalogue, Terry Frost: Six Decades, London, Royal Academy, 2000, p. 24).
