The peninsula of Renvyle, one of Europe's most westerly, has been the inspiration for renowned works of art by Ireland's greatest artists, and remains unchanged today. Modern cinema has captured some of the romance and beauty of Renvyle as the setting for the films The Quiet Man and The Field.
