Woodcut head- and tail-pieces. (Several discreet marginal repairs, H3-4 with foremargins close cropped and possibly from a different copy.) Green morocco by Sangorski and Sutcliffe, spine lettered longitudinally in gilt, gilt-ruled turn-ins, gilt edges, cloth slipcase. Provenance: Winton Jones (1924-2003, chairman of Anchor Bancorp, Minneapolis, Minnesota; 1967 gift inscription to him on front pastedown).

FROM THE FIRST FOLIO, the first appearance in print of this early comedy, probably written in 1594 with a plot derived from Plautus. Bartlett 119; Greg III, p. 11.
