20th/ 21st Century Art Evening Sales Achieved A Combined Sale Total of HK$1,495,002,500/ US$192,646,769

On 30 November, Christie’s Paris will feature the gun Paul Verlaine bought with the intention of killing his friend Arthur Rimbaud. This gun will be offered in The Exceptional Sale at €50,000-70,000.

The sale held at Christie’s South Kensington on Wednesday, 26 September 2012 realised a total of £591,500 / $955,864 / €741,741 and was sold 88% by lot and 79% by value.

The sale of Antique Arms, Armour and Collectors Firearms realised £634,825 /$1,029,686/ €714,178. The top lot was Al Capone’s .38 'Police Positive' revolver which sold for £67,250/ $109,079/ €75,656.
