Hong Kong – Following the first announcement of No Time Like Present (open for bidding from 17 to 28 September), an online only auction featuring the very first NFT sale in Asia offered by an international auction house, Christie’s is delighted to have been entrusted with a broad array of NFT-minted art, physical artworks and exceptional watches from Mr. Shawn Yue, a renowned actor and collector in Asia. His wide range of collectibles not only demonstrates his collecting journey which until now, has not been known to the public, but also presents a retrospective of his career over the past 20 years, as well as reflecting his passionate pursuits in life and art.
In celebration of his 40th birthday this year, Shawn and his friends selected special highlights from their collections for this online auction, and will donate part of the sale proceeds to support the Make-A-Wish Hong Kong Foundation, which aims to grant life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses aged between 3 and 17, in Hong Kong and Macau, to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
In addition to Shawn’s favorite NFT-minted works - CryptoPunks created by Larva Labs, as well as Yuga Labs’ Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) and Larva Labs’ latest creation Meebits, the sale will offer George Condo’s masterpiece Nun and Priest, as well as an exceptionally rare Rolex Daytona with Paul Newman “RCO” dial ref. 6263 wristwatch.
