RELEASE | Perrier-Jouët and Christie’s Announce Global Two-Year Collaboration

Corporate Announcements
8 February 2021

WORLDWIDE: Perrier-Jouët and Christie’s announce a two-year global collaboration, offering collectors opportunities to experience prestigious cuvées. At the heart of the partnership stands a remarkable heritage defined by excellence, which unites Maison Perrier-Jouët and Christie’s.

The partnership will encompass bespoke experiences for Christie’s clients to enjoy, celebrating a shared passion for wine and art. Since its foundation in 1811, Perrier-Jouët has been influenced by its founders’ love of nature and art, and this collaboration will offer Christie’s collectors the opportunity to discover Maison Belle Epoque, the residence of the champagne house’s founding family and today home to one of the largest private collection of French Art Nouveau in Europe. There will also be an auction showcasing exceptional Champagnes and unique VIP experiences from Perrier-Jouët at Christie’s London headquarters in June 2021.

Alexander Staartjes, Perrier-Jouët’s Prestige Director: “Our two Houses are united by a long-standing shared history. In 1888, Christie’s offered the Perrier-Jouët 1874 vintage, which at the time established the record for the most expensive champagne ever sold at auction. Today we are proud to be renewing our ties with Christie’s to once again bring the Maison Perrier-Jouët’s Art of Vintage to life for their clients.”

Tim Triptree MW, International Director, Christie’s Wine & Spirits: “Christie’s is delighted to collaborate with Perrier-Jouët as our preferred Champagne partner globally. Building on the long established history between Christie’s and Perrier-Jouët dating back to the 19th century, we are proud that Christie’s collectors across the globe will be able to enjoy Perrier-Jouët’s prestigious cuvées.”

The collaboration begins with immediate effect, and will run until end of 2022.
