Swiss Art

Swiss artists continue to conquer the global art scene, as more and more works by Swiss artists are incorporated into important private and institutional collections. We have been successful in selling Swiss artists in Zurich, as well as in Paris, New York, London and Hong Kong. Major institutions are acquiring Swiss masterpieces through our auctions or through our Private Sales channel. We are proud to have facilitated, amongst others, the following acquisitions:

Der Traum des Hirten by Ferdinand Hodler for the Metropolitan Museum in New York, Rade de Ploumanach by Félix Vallotton for the Kunstmuseum Bern, Der Holzfäller by Ferdinand Hodler for the Musée d’Orsay in Paris and Der Jungbrunnen (study) by Cuno Amiet for the Kunsthaus in Zurich.

In 2020, Christie’s Zurich held its first Swiss Art Online auction with a sell through rate of 94% by value, hosting the preview in our gallery space for as long as two weeks. Throughout the year discrete viewings are available to private collectors and institutions for select paintings that we are entrusted with for Private Sales.
