Charles Morris Young often painted local landscapes and hunting scenes on Philadelphia's Main Line. He was commissioned to paint a number of pictures of the Radnor, Rosetree, Cheshire, and Andrew's Bridge Hunts, most of which remain with the families for whom they were painted. He was a frequent exhibitor at the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Art as well as the National Academy of Design in New York.
