In 1955, The Two Thousand Guineas was won by Mr. David Robinson's Our Babu ridden by Doug Smith (green silks with red sleeves and blue cap) and trained by Geoffrey T. Brooke. Lord Porchester's Tamerlane was second, ridden by A. Beasley, and Klairon was third, ridden by J. Deforge.
