Lot Essay

Having studied at St Albans College of Art, in 1979 and 1980 Kim won gold medals at the Wildlife Artist International Exhibitions in Phoenix, Arizona and in 1980 was England's representative artist at the World Wilderness Congress in Johannesburg. She has travelled extensively in South America to study the exotic and endangered species of birds and mammals of the tropics in their natural habitat. The magnificent blue Hyacinth Macaw is the largest of the endangered parrots, found in the Pantanal, Brazil.
