Lot Essay

Painted at Golfhall Kennels, Corstophine, Midlothian, the hunt is shown from left in the distance Sheila on Tammy, Patsy on Rounder and Mrs. Ellis of Marchbank. In the center from left is the huntsman Jack Woodger on Seagull, W. Hanley, Junior, the first Whip and J.H. Rutherford Esq., M.F.H. on Mariner with J. Cope, the second Whip on The Saint in the far right distance. The hounds are detailed from left Cosy, Weathercock, Sultan, Conquest, Spiteful, Sheila, Chairman, Reader, Red Rose and Raider.
