MARK OF BARBARA CATTLE, SHEFFIELD, 1970, 9CT.
Vase shaped and on a spreading foot with a egg and dart rim, with two scroll handles, the detachable cover with a double horseshoe finial, engraved with an inscription, marked near handle and inside cover, the base further engraved 'SUPPLIED BY BARBARA CATTLE, JEWELLER & SILVERSMITH, STONEGATE, YORK', with a conforming turned wood base and with a fitted case
7½ in. (19 cm.) high excluding base
7.5 oz. (233 gr.)
The inscription reads 'LADY SASSOON'S RANGONG THE YORKSHIRE CUP 14 May 1970 Trainer NOEL MURLESS Jockey A. BARCLAY'
