MARK OF FREDERICK ELKINGTON, BIRMINGHAM, 1876
Each on tricorn base with tongue and dart border with foliage at the corners, with a plinth supported on four lion's paw feet with palmette and scroll apron, the stem cast as a Greek vase guarded by three winged sphinxes, the beaded border hung with chains, marked on base, on apron, and on wings, the base further stamped 'ELKINGTON & CO. 11575A'
