Oval and with a gadrooned rim, engraved with a coat-of-arms, marked on the back and further engraved with a number and a scratchweight 'No. 15 93"13'

The arms are those of Scott impaling Surtees for John Scott, later 1st Earl of Eldon (1751-1838) and his wife Elizabeth daughter of Aubone Surtees of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
