Lot Essay

Sir John Frederick of Hampton (b. 10 March 1677/78-d. 3 October 1755) was the son of Thomas Frederick (b. circa 1650-d.1720) and Leonora Maresco. He was created 1st Baronet Frederick in 1723. Snap was probably owned by his son Sir John (d. 1757), who was succeeded by his brother Sir Thomas (d. 1770).
