Lot Essay

Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming manufacture of this watch in 1981 and its subsequent sale on 6 April 1982. Furthermore delivered with the copies of Chronometrie Beyer's invoices for the regular servicing of the present watch. Purchased by the present owner in Switzerland in 1982, it has never been offered in public before.

The celebrated Nautilus model, reference 3700/1, was launched in 1976 and is described and illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, second edition, p. 231.
