Lot Essay

Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with silvered dial and applied steel Breguet numerals in 1942 and its subsequent sale on 27 October 1942.

The present watch has never been offered in public before and is furthermore the first example of a reference 1504 in stainless steel to appear in public to date. It combines several much sought after elements, a stainless steel case and a most attractive black dial with applied Breguet numerals and silvered scales, exchanged against the original one possibly during a servicing.
