Lot Essay

Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming manufacture of the present watch in 1957 and its subsequent sale on 13 October 1958. Furthermore delivered with a Patek Philippe burgundy leather presentation box and outer packaging. It has never been offered in public before and is believed to be one of only 10 examples of this reference in pink gold to appear at auction to date.

Production of reference 2584 was launched in 1958 and replaced by reference 3435 in 1960, the majority cased in yellow gold and only a small number in pink gold.

The model features a water-resistant-style snap on back with a raised border fitting tightly into the case, hence protecting it against the ingress of humidity.
