Lot Essay

The particularity of the present watch is its unusual dial, featuring an applied "Rolex" signature as opposed to the more common printed version as well as the red inscription "50m=165ft", normally found on diver's watches. Combined with the original and beautifully aged black dial and the bracelet dated 1955, it represents a highly unusual variant of the famous "Datejust" model.
