The present watch has never been offered in public before and is believed to be one of only two examples of reference 5085 in yellow gold with grey dial to appear at auction to date. It is furthermore in original, unused condition as still in the sealed plastic pouch.
Production of reference 5085 was launched in 1999 and discontinued in 2005, the majority cased in stainless steel. To the best of our knowledge, an exceedingly small series of 100 examples of this reference with gold case were made, comprising 50 examples with black dial, such as the present watch, and 50 examples with silvered dial.
