Lot Essay

Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1949 and its subsequent sale on 20 June 1950. It is thought to be one of 16 examples of reference 2443 in yellow gold to appear in public to date.

Reference 2443 was launched in 1948. The model is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, 2nd edition, p. 134, pl. 188.
