The brass movement with one going barrel, chain fusée, Earnshaw type spring detent escapement mounted on a lenticular platform, two-arm bimetallic balance with brass timing and weighting screws, parachute suspension, free sprung regulator with polished helical hairspring, diamond endstone, the silvered dial with small hour dial with Roman numerals, blued steel Breguet hands, large subsidiary seconds, fan-shaped aperture for 42 hours power reserve, in water-resistant-type brass bowl with screw bezel, gimballed in two-tier mahogany box with hinged panel in the lid over a circular glazed aperture, numbered 5107, original brass key dial signed and numbered, numbered also underneath the dial plate, movement numbered

Accompanied by Breguet Certificate No. 3506 dated 18 February 1977 confirming the sale of the present "Horloge Marine petit modèle à fusée" to the Marine Ministry on 9 January 1841 for the amount of 2,400 Francs.
