Cal. 33.3 nickel-finished lever movement, 17 jewels, bimetallic compensation balance, the black dial with gilt Arabic numerals, outer gilt five minute divisions and copper-coloured tachymetre scale, inner gilt and copper-coloured spiral telemetre scale, two engine-turned subsidiary dials indicating constant seconds and 30 minutes register, in large water-resistant-type case with screw back, downturned lugs, two round chronograph buttons in the band, case, dial and movement signed
38 mm. diam.

Lot Essay

A similar watch is described and illustrated in Omega Watches by John Goldberger, p. 77, and in Omega - A Journey Through Time by Marco Richon, p. 534, pl. 2908. In the latter it is stated that the watch in question was purchased by Omega at Christie's South Kensington "Omega Watches and Wristwatches" Auction of 6 December 2000 for the amount of UKP 2,000. The watch was furthermore featured on the catalogue cover of this sale.
