etching, circa 1879, on laid paper, Breeskin's only state, signed in pencil, with margins, the paper toned, surface soiling, the paper split along the platemark, occasional soft handling creases, three heavier creases in the upper left margin (with associated soiling), a ½-in. blue chalk line in the upper right margin, a 7-in. lightened area (where the soiling has been erased), the palest time staining, slight rippling along the extreme left and right margin edges, otherwise in good condition
