From the early 1960's Shemza embarked on one of his very popular B/D letters series which rendered his works with a calligraphic quality.
However there is an architectural basis in the same series which is inspired by the ornamentation of Lahore's Shishmahal Fort. This present work is constructed out of combinations of the Roman letters B and D, while still incorporating the technique of using muslin to add texture to his works.
