This portrait was made on holiday in Mougins in 1937 and the full frame reveals Man Ray and Picasso's travelling companions as including Dora Maar, Roland Penrose and Lee Miller.
Accompanying this lot is a certificate from the French Ministry of Culture authorizing the photograph to leave France.
