Accompanied by an Extract from the Patek Philippe Archives confirming the date of manufacture as 1954 and its subsequent sale on October 19th of the same year.

According to our research the present watch has never before appeared at auction.

Production of the famous Calatrava model of the reference 96 was launched in 1932. In 1982 it was replaced by the reference 3796. During this reference's fifty year history very few examples were made in platinum with diamond-set dials.
