With nickel-finished lever movement, 23 jewels, bi-metallic compensation balance, precision regulator, 8 adjustments, silvered matte dial with applied gold Arabic and baton numerals, two subsdiary dials indicating constant seconds and 30 minute register, outer ring calibrated for tachometer, large circular case with sculpted, down-turned teardrop lugs, case, dial and movement signed, with an 18k pink gold Patek Philippe buckle

Accompanied by an Extract from the Patek Philippe Archives confirming the date of manufacture as 1948 and its subsequent sale on June 14th of the following year.

According to our research the present watch has never before appeared at auction.

The reference 1579 was introduced to the market in 1943 and remained in production until at least 1964.
