The Blancpain platinum Tourbillon Quattro wristwatch celebrates the rich tradition of fine handcrafted watch movements. This limited production timepiece with 432 parts contains four complications; a tourbillon regulator, perpetual calendar, fly back and split-seconds chronograph. The watch was unveiled in 2001 following the purchase of Blancpain by the Swatch Group in 2000. CEO Nicholas Hayek wanted the Tourbillon Quattro to reflect the fine history of the Blancpain name.

The Blancpain firm was founded in Villeret by Jehan-Jacques in 1735. He was a watchmaker known for innovated watch movements. Jehan Jacques sought to produce only the highest quality movements. Today the attention to detail and complexity is exemplified by the Tourbillon Quattro. Jacques' legacy continues in the decision by Blancpain to never produce a quartz movement. The magic of horology is the combination of skill and technique necessary to combine 432 gears, wheels and various parts to produce a reliable and magnificent timekeeper
