AN ART DECO MULTI-GEM CHINOISERIE DESK CLOCK, BY TIFFANY & CO.
The black lacquer square case inset with two carved openwork jade paneled doors with blue enamel foliate detail, to the two-tiered black lacquer top and lapis lazuli pushpiece, opening to reveal a clock with mechanical movement, 15 jewels, the multi-colored enamel dial depicting a Chinese landscape with a heron, gazelle, trees, flowers, rocks and a pool of water, with rose-cut diamond hands and applied diamond Arabic numerals on a lapis lazuli border, to the lapis lazuli, black lacquer and gold base, mounted in 18k gold, circa 1929, 5½ x 4 x 1¾ ins., with French assay marks, in a red leather fitted case
