The black lacquer rectangular case inset with two openwork carved jade paneled doors with rose-cut diamond geometric detail, to the black onyx and carved lapis lazuli foliate top, the lapis lazuli pushpiece, opening to reveal a clock with mechanical movement, the mottled green jade dial with applied rose-cut diamond Arabic numerals and rose-cut diamond geometric hands, resting on the backs of two carved jade elephants, embellished with rose-cut diamond blankets and a lapis lazuli column, to the two-tiered lapis lazuli, black onyx and diamond base, mounted in 18k gold, circa 1929, 8 x 7¼ x 3 ins., with French assay marks, in a blue leather fitted case
