Lot Essay

Accompanied by Movado original sales tags, tag with Tempomatic instruction manual and original fitted presentation box.

The Tempomatic was Movado's first self-winding wristwatch, launched in 1950. The model is described and illustrated in The Movado History by Fritz von Osterhausen, pp. 128 & 129 and p. 133.

It is extremely rare to find a watch from the 1950s not only in like new condition, still retaining the factory protection film to its case back, but also the original sales tag and presentation box.
