Dr Marian Bisanz-Prakken has confirmed the authenticity of this work.

Dr Marian Bisanz-Prakken kindly pointed out that this drawing is part of a series of preparatory drawings (Strobl 2483-2489) for the oil portrait of Amalie Zuckerkandl (Novotny-Dobai 105), dated 1917-1918, which was never completed.
