Lot Essay

Solange Milet has confirmed the authenticity of these two works.

These two drawings are related to the fourth and tenth prints of Louis Marcoussis' series entitled Les Planches du Salut (Milet, nos. 66-78) of 1931, for which Tristan Tzara wrote the preface. Christie's will be selling an edition of this portfolio from the Hoh Collection in the next Old Master, Modern and Contemporary Prints sale in October 2008.
