Lot Essay

This image was shot for the cover of Condé Nast Porfolio magazine's debut issue. A recreation of Berenice Abbott's iconic image, New York At Night, Peterman took this picture from the 86th floor of the Empire State Building. The resulting image is part of the "Megacities" series.
Peterman was featured at the Venice Biennale, Spring 2006.
