Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1954 and its subsequent sale on 26 November 1954. It has never been offered in public before.

Reference 3100 was launched around 1955 and remained in production until the late 1960s. The model served as base for various jewelled variations with different case materials, numbered 3100/1, 3100/2 etc. The present watch however is the first example of a "simple" reference 3100 to appear at auction.
