Lot Essay

The black and red sand recall a beach where a child's hand leaves transient signs. For Vaziri this scrawling is the first act of communication with the outside world, where we see for the first time a relationship between extension and duration, between space and the passage of time.

In this work we see, unusually in his oeuvre, symbols which look like letters, illegible as if washed away by wind or sea.
