etching, drypoint and engraving, circa 1652, second state (of three), a fine, atmospheric impression on warm-toned Japon, with rich burr to Faust's cloak and right arm, the hands holding the mirror printing strongly and with burr, trimmed to the platemark and borderline in places, minor scattered foxing verso, generally in very good condition
