Lot Essay

There are some evident and striking similarities between the mounts of the present bell-push and those of the Fabergé 'Apple Blossom' egg also by Michael Perchin, made in 1901. Both incorporate two-colour gold leaves and the same pink foiled rose-cut diamonds within silver-mounted white enamel petals imitating blossoms and buds over polished nephrite. The marks are also strikingly similar.
