Lot Essay

We are grateful to Luuk Pijl for suggesting a tentative attribution to Ambrosius Breughel (Antwerp 1617-1675), on the basis of comparison with a Landscape with Satan sowing Darnel (see Bruegel. Een dynastie van schilders, Brussels, 1980, p. 244, no. 179).
