Designed as a rose and old mine-cut diamond and cushion-cut ruby swallow, with a ruby eye and gold beak, extending gold knife-edge tail-feathers with diamond and ruby terminals, rubies, red to purplish red, of moderate saturation, with typical inclusions, well-matched, 1 ruby deficient, old European-cut diamonds, nice color and clarity, 1 diamond deficient, to mounted in silver-topped gold, circa 1860, with French importation marks, shows signs of normal wear
