'BOSTON TERRIER' OR 'TOY', THE MODEL CREATED IN 1930, CAST CIRCA 1965-1970 In black patinated bronze

This model portrays Madame Georges Menier's dog, 'Toy'. It was commissioned in 1930 and delivered in 1931. The cast was subsequently donated to the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Dijon. Only five examples are known to have been cast during the artist's lifetime

Ce modèle, portrait de "Toy", chien de Madame Georges Menier, sera commandé en 1930 et livré en février 1931. L'épreuve est ensuite léguée au Musée des Beaux-Arts de Dijon. On ne connait que cinq épreuves de ce modèle exécutées du vivant de l'artiste
