Eric Mouchet has confirmed the authenticity of this work.

The current work is a study for a lithograph the artist created for renowned lithographer Fernand Mourlot in celebration of the 100th anniversary of his printing company. On this occasion Mourlot asked several of his artist friends to create works that were ultimately printed for the Mourlot Centennial Portfolio in 1952.
