La maison Van Cleef & Arpels est aussi célèbre pour ses lignes d'accessoires que pour ses bijoux. Les objets raffinés et élégants, tels que la "Minaudière", sont très populaires pendant les Années Folles. La remarquable collection de poudriers en forme d'enveloppe qui voit le jour au début des années 20 en témoigne. Ingénieux dans leur dessin, sobres dans leur ligne, ces poudriers sont rehaussés d'un décor émaillé reproduisant des arabesques ainsi que des motifs géométriques ou floraux. Van Cleef & Arpels is as renowned for designing accessories as jewels. Elegant objects, such as the "Minaudière", became very popular during the period known as the "Années Folles". Their ingenious compacts, produced at the beginning of the 1920s, are clear testament to this. Designed in the form of a simple, unassuming enveloppe, these compacts were decorated finely with enamel, inspired by arabesque, geometric and floral motifs.
