Lot Essay

With Parmigiani presentation box, certificate, product literature and setting instrument.

The visual accessibility at the heart of the Bugatti Type 370 is entirely original and truly unique. The movement is spread between five plates, held by cross-arms arranged along a horizontal axis reminiscent of the construction of a Bugatti engine.
The dynamometric system - the movement's starting and winding systems, called for over three years of research and represents a world première. A "choke", in the form of an instrument external to the watch, is used to action the two crowns placed beneath the case.
All components and plates were developed, machined, decorated, assembled and then cased up in the workshops of the Manufacture Parmigiani Fleurier.
