Marked Fabergé, with the workmaster's mark of Mikhail Perchin, St. Petersburg, circa 1890, scratched inventory number 59691
Rectangular, enameled in translucent strawberry red over a wavy guilloché ground, centering an oval aperture within a dot and dash border, enclosing a photograph of Marina Chaliapin, the corners with reserves enameled in translucent white over a wavy guilloché ground applied with gold berried laurel branches, alternating with applied gold rosettes, all within an egg and dart border, with a tied ribbon crest, on toupie feet, with gold openwork strut and ivory backing, in an A La Vieille Russie case, marked on edge of frame and strut
