Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with silvered dial and raised steel hour markers in 1942 and its subsequent sale on 8 April 1943.

To the best of our knowledge, this watch has never been offered in public before and is furthermore the only example of a reference 737 in stainless steel to appear in public to date.

Reference 737 was introduced into the market around 1942 and was made in a very small series only.
