Lot Essay

Sylvie Buisson has confirmed the authenticity of this painting.

The first owner of the present painting as well as lot 233 was legendary screenwriter, playwright and director Norman Krasna. Author of Sunday in New York, Dear Ruth and John Loves Mary, Krasna won an Academy Award for 1943's Princess O'Rourke but is perhaps best remembered for his 1954 screenplay, White Christmas.
