FIRST EDITION OF GIBSON'S FIRST BOOK, SIGNED, AND PRESENTED TO ALLAN PORTER, the noted editor of Camera magazine: 'Dear Alan [sic] -- the spread in "Camera" was superb, the 350 copies very useful -- accept this in gratitude -- Ralph'. With this book Gibson 'took the stream-of-consciousness mode into a new and potentially exciting territory -- the unconscious... many of the pictures are amongst the most recognizable from the time' (The Photobook).
